POSC 39043 Case Study Research
Prerequisite: POSC 20093. This course is about case study research - the study of a set of events bounded by space and time. Its emphasis is on how to formulate research questions and design research strategies for the rigorous application of social science standards and logics of inference in those instances where the empirical evidence involved is primarily qualitative rather than quantitative, and where a limited number of cases can and should be studied in significant detail.
