POSC 31803 Transnational Human Trafficking
This study abroad class will explore the political, economic, and social factors that influence the State Department in writing the Trafficking in Persons Report. Students will investigate these issues using India as a case study. Trough meetings with U.S. Government officials in India, Indian government officials, Indian NGOs, and international organizations, students will gain an understanding of the complexity of foreign policymaking and learn about the sensitive interplay between the U.S. government and foreign governments, NGOs, and international organizations in shaping foreign policy.
