POSC 31543 The Chicano/a Movement, Latino/a Politics, and Immigration Rights

This course surveys the history of the modern Chicano/a civil and immigration rights movement and explores Latino/a politics and immigration policy as ways to understand the nature of social movements and the role of grassroots activism; the connections between civil rights and other struggles for social justice, past and present; and the origins and persistence of structural racial and ethnic inequality in the United States.
