POSC 31443 Human Trafficking in the United States: Public Policy and Political Discourse

This course is an introduction to the public policy issue of human trafficking through analyzing the perspectives of the different stockholders of anti-trafficking policy, including law enforcement, prosecutors, policymakers, judges, bureaucrats, the public, competing interest groups, and victims. This course also has a service-learning component that allows students to directly engage with the issue through site visit and research opportunities with local NGOs working to combat human trafficking in North Texas.
