NURS 30433 Families, Caregivers, and People Living with Dementia
This course is an introduction to dementia and those people living with dementia. Major concepts and theories of dementia and person-centered care will be introduced. Students will explore the current demographic trends in society, health and healthcare concerns of people living with dementia, issues of stigma, family relationships and social support, and quality of life. Offered as HCHS 30783 or NURS 30433 credit. Nursing majors will enroll in NURS 30433. All other students will enroll in HCHS 30783.
