COMM 40163 Difference Matters in Organizational Communication
Prerequisites: COMM majors/minors only, or permission of department; COMM 10123 or COMM 10163 with a C- or better; combined GPA of 2.5 in COMM 20113 and 20223; and COMM 30163 with a C- or better. Examines power and privilege in organizations, focusing on gender, race, class, ability, age, sexuality, and religion. Students will develop awareness of how their background shapes communication as well as exploring strategies for increasing inclusion in organizations.
