COMM 30193 Listening
Prerequisites: COMM majors/minors only, or permission of department; COMM 20113 with a C- or better. Introduction to the reception and processing of information. Examines theory and research in areas such as attention, cognitive capacity, and attribution. Examines the role of listening in a variety of contexts, including therapeutic communication, learning, and critical thinking.
