SCIE 20313 Whisky Abroad: Science, History & Culture
Whisky serves as a useful lens for looking at science, history, culture and their interdependence. The course meets weekly for 2.5h in the spring semester to perform labs, discuss historical and cultural readings, and practice cultural activities. During the term, the group travels to an environment (ie Scotland, Ireland, Japan) for approximately two weeks for immersion in the course material to allow synthesis.
