NURS 40573 Pediatric Oncology Care
Prerequisites: NURS 40663, NURS 40682. This course provides the student an in-depth introduction to pediatric oncology nursing. Observational opportunities in various oncology settings will be provided. Legal, political, socio-cultural, ethical, and research implications for pediatric nursing practice will also be considered. This class builds upon previous knowledge mastered in adult medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, child development, pharmacology, teaching strategies and the sciences.
