KINE 40723 Global Sports Medicine Belize
Prerequisites: Permission of instructor(s) and meeting criteria established by the TCU Center for International Studies. TCU cumulative GPA and KINE major GPA of 2.5 or higher, or instructor permission. This 3-week course is an international interprofessional education experience centered on health care and is designed for athletic training, nursing, and pre-health majors. Students will experience the culture of Belize while developing familiarity with the role of health professionals in medical, sports medicine, and educational settings. Students will engage in hands-on learning activities related to their discipline, visit academic universities training health professionals, and experience practice sites serving local populations. Coursework and travel will occur during summer session.
