FREN 30033 Phonetics and Advanced Communication
Prerequisite: FREN 20063, with grades of C- or better, or permission. An introduction to French phonology, this course focuses on developing advanced listening, comprehension, and pronunciation skills through the study of French phonetics and the International Phonetics Alphabet. Students will engage in performative tasks and projects based on media productions and plays to reach verbal and written competency. Not open to heritage or native speakers of French.
