ENTR 40313 Social Entrepreneurship

Prerequisites: Must be a business major or ENTR minor. Sustainable values-centered enterprises aim to address a vast array of economic and social problems, or leverage beneficial opportunities for relevant stakeholders, in an entrepreneurial fashion. This course is designed to introduce students to social and values-centered enterprises and provide them with the tools to contribute to the field through the generation of real-world solutions to socioeconomic problems or opportunities. The course will draw on some of the most accomplished practitioners of sustainable enterprising, as well as on historical and contemporary models to explore the unique range of issues and challenges facing a values-centered enterprise.
