NRAN 82121 Pain Psychology (1)

Prerequisites: Admission to the Pain Fellowship. This course focuses on the psychological aspects of the chronic pain experience in humans. These aspects include, but are not limited to: sensory, affective, cognitive, social, developmental, cultural and spiritual. Topics will include measurement of pain, opiates, addiction, and motivation in pain patients. Treatment discussions will include, but are not limited to: medications, counseling, and mindfulness practices.
