GEOL 60423 Overview of Petroleum Engineering

Prerequisite: GEOL 50423. Petroleum engineering concepts and technology that are needed to find and produce oil and gas are discussed. This course focuses on drilling and production operations for non-engineers. Industry professionals will visit to discuss current technologies for producing hydrocarbon fluids. Graduate students will be expected to prepare and present a case study using current literature.
