KINE 30790 Departmental Research

Prerequisite: Sophomore or junior standing only, and nomination and selection by faculty member in the Kinesiology Department. The purpose of this course is to provide a mechanism for students with a strong interest in research to become involved in one of the departmental research labs early in their academic careers. Students showing promise as an undergraduate researcher during their freshman year will be nominated by faculty. If they choose to accept the nomination, they will complete an application for acceptance into this course, and in the process will select a faculty mentor with whom they will work for a minimum of one credit per semester. Upon completion of three credit hours of research in this course, and completion of KINE 40103 and KINE 40793, students will earn the designation of Departmental Research Scholar.
