ITAL 40023 Seminar in Italian Studies

Prerequisites:  At least one 30000-level ITAL course (or equivalent) taught in Italian with a grade of C- or better, or permission by the instructor.  This course will advance student communicative skills in the target language as well as student inter-cultural competencies through the study and in-depth analysis of one more relevant socio-cultural aspects of present-day Italy.  The course will be structured around one or more modules, with each module focusing on a specific topic, which may be an author, genre, period, cultural movement, episode, or theme.
