HCOM 30313 Health Communication in the 21st Century
Prerequisites: HCOM 10313 or 20303. Globalization, technological advancement, and new media have been revolutionized and complicated issues in health communication and healthcare. This class is designed to help students examine social and media forces of health communication that impact diverse groups in the 21st century. We will take a close examination of the latest issues and opportunities in the areas of health, communication and media. Topics will include e-health, m-health, telemedicine, health campaigns, culture and diversity in healthcare.
