EDUC 20023 Mathematics for Teachers of Early Childhood through Eighth Grade
This course is designed to build the content knowledge and skills needed by Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade teachers. The mathematics content emphasized in this course focuses on number and operations and aligns with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards as well as the content mandated by the State of Texas. The course instruction models inquiry teaching by engaging students in mathematical thinking, reasoning, and sense-making.
