COSD 50840 COSD Study Abroad - Chile & Argentina
Prerequisites: Permission of instructor(s) and meeting criteria established by the TCU Center for International Studies. This 3-week course is an international interprofessional education experience centered on health care and health professions, and is designed for students in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nursing, Social Work, and other related health or education professions. Graduate and undergraduate students will experience the language and culture of Chile and Argentina while developing familiarity with the role of health professionals in medical and educational settings serving individuals across the lifespan. Students will engage in a number of classroom-based and hands-on learning activities related to health care, visit academic universities training health professionals, and experience practice sites serving the local and regional populations.
