Communication Disorders Minor

A minor in Communication Sciences & Disorders is offered to undergraduate students at TCU wishing to enhance their knowledge about speech-language pathology or deaf and hard of hearing studies. The student selects to minor in Communication Disorders with a speech-language pathology emphasis (COMS) or deaf and hard of hearing emphasis (COMD). A total of 18 credit hours is required, which must include COSD 10303 and 10343. The remaining credit hours must be approved by the Health Sciences advisor in the Academic Resource Center or the assigned academic advisor. Of those remaining credit hours, 6 credit hours must be at the 3000 level or above. Students must receive a grade of C or higher in all COSD courses in order for the course to count toward the minor or as a prerequisite for subsequent courses.
