International Student Services

International Services works within the area of Culture, Community and International Services by generating opportunities for engagement across the campus and community. As one of the primary offices tasked with internationalization, International Services provides programs focusing on geographical, political and cultural diversity. Our office has primary responsibility for immigration law and the integration of international students into the day-to-day experience at TCU.

Through programs like International Orientation, Questa Terra and F-1 Sharp, the office explores cultural transition, intercultural engagement and academic success. The office works directly with international alumni to keep them involved in the international programming and institutional direction of the University. By engaging TCU students, both U.S. and international, with international former students around the world, we also contribute to TCU’s mission to create "ethical leaders in the global community."

With more than 650 international students, a global international alumni network, partnerships and collaborations with communities, NGOs, inter-governmental organizations and people working for an educated, nourished and hopeful future, International Services is committed to an inclusive idea of access, education and opportunity for everyone.

Community Scholars Program

The Community Scholars Program was established in 2000 to provide students from 11 area high schools the opportunity to compete for scholarships to attend TCU.

This program attracts diverse student populations to the campus. The students selected have achieved academic excellence and demonstrated leadership skills in their schools and communities. More than 150 students are in the program.

Through advising, educational activities, leadership programs, retreats, programming activities and student organizations, the program provides resources to help the scholars successfully transition into the university environment. This program has helped transform the University environment.
