Dining Services

Eating out while staying on campus is easy with the TCU Frog Pass. TCU students will have many fresh choices at Market Square in the Brown-Lupton University Union. The Frog Pass Dining Plan allows students unlimited access to Market Square when it is open. Choose from one of three Frog Pass plans - Silver, Gold, Platinum - and receive Frog Bucks that can be used on campus at one of TCU's seven other campus dining locations or off campus at local participating restaurants. Frog Bucks must be purchased separately from the Silver meal plan.

Market Square

Located on the second floor of the Brown-Lupton University Union, Market Square offers eight unique dining venues - Trinity Grill, Stacks Deli, Il Trattoria, Shuffles, Cookhouse, Expeditions, Green Cuisine and Market Place at the Oasis - with a variety of fresh foods prepared to order. Booths, high-top tables, patio and terrace seating for more than 800 give students a chance to truly sit down and relax. Five large-screen TVs allow students to see the news of the day while catching up with friends. Market Square is a kitchen, dining room and lounge, all in one.

Chick-fil-A@ 1873 Grill and Café

TCU’s own Chick-fil-A is located on the first floor of the Brown-Lupton University Union. It opens at 7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, closes at 2 a.m. Monday-Friday, closes at 11 p.m. Saturday and is closed Sunday; students can pay with cash, credit, Campus Cash or Frog Bucks.

King Family Commons

The newest addition to TCU's dining options is the King Family Commons Building, located Stadium Drive and Bellaire Drive in the Worth Hills area of campus. With four dining locations, students have the flexibility to use cash, credit card, Campus Cash or Frog Bucks to grab a cup of coffee at The Press, a burger and fries at O'Brien's Grill, build a burrito bowl at Caliente or create their own pasta bowl at Magnolia's Bistro. For students seeking a different location to lounge or study, King Family Commons offers some creative seating for these activities as well. The building is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (hours vary at each specific location).

Frog Pass

Frog Pass is the TCU dining plan. It allows students to come and go to Market Square as often they like from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends. Six plans provide Frog Bucks that can be used off campus and Campus Cash that can be used on campus.

Campus Cash

Campus Cash is designed to give students flexibility and can be used at one of TCU's many other campus dining locations.

Frog Bucks

Designed to give students flexibility, Frog Bucks can also be used on or off campus. Unused Frog Bucks that come with the Frog Pass plans will roll over to the spring semester, but are NOT refundable at the end of the academic year. If students are running low, they can easily add more Frog Bucks online through my.tcu.edu. All Frog Bucks added on to the base meal plan are refundable.

All plans with Frog Bucks require acceptance of Off-Campus Advantage to use Frog Bucks at local participating restaurants.

Simply-To-Go Option

Students may use a swipe to purchase a breakfast or lunch alternative offered at Sushi Mama in Smith Hall.

Special Dietary Needs

Market Square offers a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options at every meal. The nutrition counselor, a registered dietitian, with meet with students who have dietary concerns to discuss menu options.
