ENSC 40553 Zoo Animal Enrichment

Prerequisites: Junior standing. This is a team-taught course between Environmental Science and Studio Art. In this course students will explore the ecology and behavior of wild animals to provide insights into the types of stimuli they naturally encounter. These insights will then be used to develop and build objects and structures that will engage and enrich the lives of animals at the Fort Worth Zoo. Students will work in teams to study a specific species currently residing at the zoo and create objects and structures that will enhance their lives in captivity. (Crosslisted as ARST 40553)
