Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies

Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) critically examines racial and ethnic identities as an essential step in becoming ethical citizens and leaders in today’s global community. An academic and community-oriented program, it values respect, inclusiveness, creative expression, dialogue, engagement, inquiry and academic excellence.

Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies is available as a major on the BA degree and as a minor or emphasis on both the BA and BS degrees.

Honors College

CRES majors who plan to pursue Departmental Honors must be members of the Honors College and should contact the program director to arrange for Honors contracts to supplement CRES 30003 and CRES 40003.
